Marking the beginning of a major civic project

The groundbreaking for Valley Metro’s light-rail project marked the start of one of the Valley’s most significant public works projects. Kricun Media created and managed an event designed to celebrate the milestone and create opportunities for public visibility and media coverage.

The work

Susan’s work included planning and budgeting, media strategy, coordination with high-profile civic leaders and a complete run of show. The event brought together the practical demands of a civic gathering and the visual storytelling of a public launch.

Project highlight

A giant custom Valley Metro Rail ON/OFF switch gave civic leaders a distinctive way to mark the project’s beginning and created one of the event’s signature visual moments.
